I re...That is a remarkable gift that your mom has. I remember that about her as well. She always made it about the other person, rather than herself. My parents are like that too and I would love to be more like that. I never know what to ask because I am always too shy to ask something too personal. There is always an excuse not to reach out or ask. I am so glad you posted this about your mom because this is something that is really important to me. I had a mom growing up who knew how to connect with her children because she knew what to ask, and I really want to develop that well. As a teacher in the public schools for 4 years, the kids that were the least connected to their parents were kids that just never talked to their parents basically. I have friends like that and it always amazed me because like you, I'm an open book to my mom. Love the posts, Jenifer!
