Clam bake, English garden, and house with a bright red door.

This weekend was the first time this year we really felt fall in the air.  Crisp cool evenings, the sound of the local high school football game behind our house, soccer games.  It was beautiful and reminded me of how fantastic falls really are in Pennsylvania.  It is by far and away my favorite time of the year living in the East.  Our family had the special occasion of being invited to a clam bake Sat. evening.   The hosts are beautiful, charming friends from Alyssa's school.  They could not be a more lovely little family, and I came away with three thoughts.

I am totally enamored by, and determined to host my own clam bake.
I want a beautiful little English garden in my back yard....
and I love red doors on traditional cape cod houses.

Hence......my blog title, and a picture of........

their darling cape cod house with the cute red door.  Her garden in the back is amazing.

We had a blast, ate lots and lots of yummy seafood, and treasured the memory!
