Pinterest Talk

I have a new found love affair with Pinterest.  I joined a while back, but finally had my friend Natalie show me the ropes.  I LOVE it.  It has opened up a whole new world for me.:) The ideas and creative thinking of others is truly amazing to me. What a fantastic idea to have a big board everyone and anyone can share their ideas.  I can view countless peoples ideas, imaginations, designs, recipes....the list goes on and on and on.

Another reason I love Pinterest is because it has been one more way to connect me with people I love. I learned my sister Rebecca, my darling niece Amanda, and my Mom's cousins are all on Pinterest.  I have a way to connect every day with their ideas, and things that make them happy.  As I peruse through Pinterest I will often come accross something that will remind me of people close to me, especially family.

I have a memory growing up, of folded down catalogue pages in magazines my Mom collected.  She would go through them often at night.  It was her Pinterest.  This post I am dedicating to Pinterest finds that remind me of home and family (particularly my Mom, Sister, Aunts, and Grandma Harrington).

Blue and White.....prerequisite to love if a "true" Harrington.....

Checks and Gingham in all sizes shapes and colors......

In fact I am pretty sure my Mom has these.

My Grandma Harrington was a home economics teacher for 30 plus years.  She made gorgeous and delicious treats.

Flowers are a big part of my genetic make up.  Love THEM.  My first project I remember in Elementary school was keeping a flower journal.

Peonies are among the most FAVORITE!

Pink, Hot Pink, and more HOT PINK.  I saw these in the window of the Kate Spade store in Newport Fashion Island shortly after my Mom passed away.  After my return to Pennsylvania I kept hearing my Mom's voice in my head......"Just buy the hot pink Kate Spade shoes....you will love them."  I bought them and love them.  Every time I wear them I think....."goodness my Mom would love these.!":)

White lace, and peter pan collar.  Yes.....would be a favorite.

An English garden.....

and let us not forget some red plaid chairs.

I love being reminded of wonderful people in my life.

LOVE TO MY FAMILY!!!
