Lighting

The more I learn about photography the more I learn.....

It is all about the lighting!

For example.....

At first glance....this does not look like a picture perfect place for pictures.  I use to think it was much more about background and setting.  

At the right time of day....the above place is perfect for my kind of picture....

It happens to be 20 feet from the front door of our apartment.  A good reminder...when you don't think you have the perfect backdrop.  Just look around for a good blank wall, and take photos till your hearts content when the lighting is just right.   The best time I think is in the late afternoon, early eve, and in the shade.  

The other thing I am reminded of as of late is photography like art is subjective.  What one person loves, another may not.

For example.....

I happen to love the lighting above, although completely over exposed, and brighted out.  I also love that the pictures aren't posed and by no means perfect.  My husband not so much. Photography just like art is subjective.
