I went to parent teacher conferences this past week.  We are already mid way through the quarter.  I am always humbled at parent teacher conference to recognize how each of my children are so unique from one another.  They each have great strengths and like all have weaknesses.  I feel blessed as a parent to recognize and see the strengths in my children.  Catherine's report touched me this time in particular....

Her 10 out of 10 student self evaluation.  Apparently she thinks she is an A+++ on everything and anything related to school.  This confidence is one of the many things I love about Cath.  I have her confidence captured with a photo.  One day....she may not feel quite like a 10.  Life is humbling...and she has lots and lots of years and evaluations ahead.  I always want to remind her that her essence and being is confident.  She IS A 10 forever and always in my book....and deep down I hope she always evaluates herself this way.

"I learned in my life that we don't need to be "more" of anything to start to become the person God intended us to become.
- President Uchtdorf

I LOVE THIS quote.

Some days it is just the small and simple words that help us see life a bit more clearly.
