Changing it up!

My antique store has come through for me once again.  I found this gem of a find a few months back.  I kept trying to ignore it.  But after some serious negotiation with the antique clerks, and literally having dreams of this piece....I finally broke down and bought it.  I actually traded a piece of furniture for a partial buy.  

I particularly fell in love with the color, and the old rustic vibe.

I even painted my kitchen to match.  On another note....

                         

I invited some friends from church for a little back to school lunch.  Girl friends are an amazing support.  I often think I don't know what I would do without them.  I made this little dessert from a recipe I found online.   

My favorite part is you make this pretty little dessert in the microwave.  Yes....the microwave.
Amazing what modern technology can do.
