The Parade!

So I have a million and one things I should be doing right now.  To top it off I am coming down with a major cold.  Instead of being productive.... I am going to relish in my memories of the week  that are makin me happy.

I have taken on a new level of love for Pennsylvania fall's this year.  I think the incredibly beautiful weather  has played a major factor.

I have had a few times while living here in Pennsylvania when I feel I have stepped back into time.  A friend recently compared some of Camp Hills events like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting. I happen to agree.  Some of those events have included but have not been limited to: a simple Camp Hill High School football game right behind my house where the marching band has more fans than the football team, Santa Clause riding on a fire truck through tree lined streets yearly throwing candy to all the little children, the lighting of the town hall (yes we have a town hall) christmas tree, and my personal favorite....

The yearly Camp Hill Halloween Parade!!!

This year I decided we all needed to participate in probably one of our last Camp Hill parades.

Hence......

The "DeVille" family appearance.

I truly don't remember the last time I dressed up for Halloween.  Have I been missing out....!.  It was really fun this year.  I had to run with the dalmation idea when all of my kids and husband agreed.  After the initial shock they agreed, I went to work.  I did have to bribe little Mikey with a ninjago....but the price seeing him as a dalmation was well worth it.:)

I was up early the day of the parade, Tuesday, making two of the four dalmations.  I raced to the nearest costume store to find Mike his fancy mustache....and boom we were ready to roll.  The only thing missing was a real dalmation, and a light blue convertable.

We marched the streets of camp hill, while people lined the streets cheering.  It was a classic night.  A night of motherhood I am pretty sure I will never forget.

I LOVE having little children surrounding me that LOVE LIFE and the holidays. It truly makes me happy....

There were lots and lots of amazing costumes at the parade.  People back here take their costumes seriously.  Some of my favorites......

Isn't the girl in the red scrumptious.

Wyatt in his leaf costume.....

I was ready to take the dog home with me.

This costume and hat was amazing.....

My hillarious friend Jenn who dressed up her kids as rock, paper, scissors.....

My personal favorite...... little Ikey.  This fierce little face happens to be.....
