Neighborhood

Something I have learned over the past 9 years of living in Pennsylvania.  The neighbors and street where you live, make a HUGE difference in your quality of life.  Especially when you have a four little children running around.  It takes a special kind of patience and place....to tolerate our crazy, busy, little family.  I have been blessed by amazing neighbors and friends on this Appletree Road.

With children loving the outdoors like mine, I have spent A LOT of time with these dear neighbors sitting outside while watching my own kids go up and down, up and down this street.  They have spent a lot of time helping me watch these kids of mine.  These neighbors of ours have bought my children' watered down lemonade, humored  bug collection jars, tolerated door bell ditches, listened to countless stories my children like to tell, witness naked babies escape the front door, the list goes on an on.

Our neighbors have helped me set up yard sales, brought over treats and dinners, goods from their own gardens.  They have collected coupons and recipe clippings for my aid......  They have seen me cry, laugh and yell......(the latter probably too much).
I love these people......and I am going to truly miss them!

Last night my dear friend Becky (two doors down) hosted a neighborhood going away celebration.  She hosted it as a celebration for our new adventure and was so kind to put so much into the evening.  She along with others on our street pulled together an evening I will never forget as one of my last as a Pennsylvania resident.  My kids were thrilled to be thought of, and it meant so much to have an evening with people we hold dear to our hearts.  We were out making smores till almost midnight, while reminiscing about lots of crazy stories we all can share and can laugh about.  I didn't realize how many embarrassing stories I have collected over the years till my neighbors helped remind me.

Becky went all out......all my favorites......turquoise, pink, and polka dots.....

pinwheels and all......Finally perfect weather....which as Pennsylvanian's we deserve I might add.....
