With the move into this house I have been trying to simplify my life and "things".....
I got rid of a lot of "things" that simply didn't have meaning to me or I didn't have use for. My favorite nooks in my home are the spaces filled with treasures I have collected, saved for, or found with friends in unexpected adventures. I love color, and texture. If I could have a library filled of fabrics and wallpapers I would be one happy gal.
Hollyhock Schumacher fabric.....I could have everywhere in my life and be happy.
I have had this wreath for years and years... every Easter I pull it out....and it always brings a smile.
I planted white roses in our front and back yard. There is something about white in the sunshine!
I can't help but be sucked into the trend of antler ears. I couldn't stop day dreaming of this Hollyhock picture I found at Anthropologie. I had just the spot for it.
When I was 18 years old I went on a study abroad to Europe. One of my favorite cities was Munich. I bought this watercolor from a man off the street selling them as he painted. It has been a favorite reminder of that special time in my life. I found this beautiful gold frame recently at epic thrift, and it is finally just right and complete! After all these years the frame finally found the art:)
As I simplify and appreciate small and simple nooks life seems less complicated and a bit like fresh air.
