This morning I woke up to Mikey bouncing down the stairs, and running and jumping on my bed. The first thing he asks "Mom, can we go to Target to get a dollar toy. Mom what is for breakfast?..I am starving. Mom.....can I get a toy today? ". Mikey is ALWAYS STARVING by the way, and he ALWAYS wants a new lego.
Next to come in my bedroom this morning is Catherine. Rather than bouncing she is STOMPING and crying, yelling "Mom, you didn't let me sleep with Lyssa and Mikey last night. I am HUNGRY." She ALWAYS wants to sleep with the big kids, and we all know that means NO one sleeps.
The final child to enter my bedroom is Alyssa. She comes dramatically in my room crawling on all fours with a blanky over her head and cries..."Mom, I just can't take it anymore...Catherine woke me up, I have a huge headache, and Sammy is screaming at the top of his lungs. I have a headache and I just want to go back to sleep."
While all three of my "big" kids are yelling at me I hear Sammy truly screaming at the top of his lungs...in the highest pitch possible!
At this point all I wanted to do was put earplugs in, throw the covers over my head, and drift back into with wonderful deep sleep I was experiencing.
I had a strong epiphany today!
I am ready for SCHOOL to start:)
Bring on the early nights to bed, the schedule of out the door by eight thirty. THE SUMKO house is ready!:) We have had six months of no schooling, and this household is ready for some Sumko boot camp.
Homework, house hold chores, piano lessons, soccer....we are THERE!
Ha.....I just had to share!
